Supporting your Early Reader

Every parent or carer wants their child to love reading, but we know the reading process isn’t straight forward, so how can we achieve this? For a child to become a confident and competent reader by the end of primary school, it’s important for each child to have the right support at school and at home.

We know books are a vital for a child’s future academic attainment, but they are so much more than that for a child’s future progress and development in all areas. This workshop explains why reading matters so much, and offers parents age appropriate guidance, strategies and activities which will help ensure your child’s reading journey starts on the right foot to develop a life long love of reading.
