Maths is everywhere and maths can be fun! If we want to raise confident children who love maths we have to show them real life, meaningful maths experiences. Early maths competency is all about making real connections. As we know, it isn’t always easy to know how to support your child with their maths learning, or to know if we are teaching concepts correctly.

This workshop aims to help parents and carers understand how to engage in playful maths activities, whilst developing their knowledge of key concepts and the skills children need to master maths.

By the end of this session adults will gain confidence to know how to guide their child to notice and explore real maths concepts through everyday experiences and natural interactions in play, stories and conversations.
